Client Support Specialist – Standard Commercial Lines

Position Summary
We are seeking a Client Support Specialist who plays a key role in supporting the Commercial Lines team by assisting with the daily processing of incoming and outgoing business activities. This position provides prompt, efficient, and high-quality service while supporting designated Commercial Account Managers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Process policy audits received from carriers and refer to the Commercial Account Manager (CAM) when applicable according to audit procedures.
- Review and process endorsements and change requests for accuracy after they have been ordered by the CAM, including carrier follow-up as needed.
- Prepare endorsement summaries and documentation.
- Update policy information, billing screens, company commissions, producer codes, company codes, and status codes within agency management systems.
- Process agency-billed invoicing related to endorsements and audits.
- Obtain and file electronic documents from carrier websites into ImageRight.
- Prepare renewal certificates of insurance and basic new certificates of insurance as directed by the Account Manager.
- Assist with the preparation of initial insurance proposals for Account Manager review.
- Navigate carrier websites to access and retrieve renewals, endorsements, invoices, and other policy-related documents.
- Maintain accurate client and policy records while ensuring adherence to agency procedures and quality standards.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Commercial Lines team as needed.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous insurance agency, administrative support, customer service, or office experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain an Ohio Property & Casualty (P&C) License within six (6) months of hire.
Licensing & Professional Development
- Obtain and maintain an active Ohio Property & Casualty (P&C) License.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development related to commercial insurance, such as CISR coursework and other industry training opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify missing or needed coverages on renewals and endorsements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Experience with or ability to learn AMS360, ImageRight, and carrier management platforms.
- Ability to navigate multiple carrier websites efficiently.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to exceptional client service.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while following agency guidelines and procedures.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a high-volume work environment.
