Painter Blaster 3
Description

The Painter Blaster is responsible for preparing surfaces through abrasive blasting and applying protective coatings and paint systems to structural steel, equipment, and construction-related assets. The ideal candidate will have experience with surface preparation, industrial painting techniques, and safety regulations.


Requirements

 Key Responsibilities

  • Perform abrasive blasting, sandblasting, and surface preparation activities.
  • Remove rust, scale, old paint, and contaminants from various surfaces.
  • Apply primers, paints, epoxy coatings, and protective finishes according to project specifications.
  • Inspect surfaces before and after blasting and painting to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Operate and maintain blasting and painting equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and job site requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed.
  • Work effectively with supervisors, project managers, and crew members.
  • Perform general labor duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in abrasive blasting and industrial/commercial painting preferred.
  • Knowledge of surface preparation standards and coating applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, specifications, and safety procedures.
  • Experience operating blasting equipment, spray painting equipment, and related tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid DL/or Identification.
  • Must be able to pass a hair follicle
  • Must have a TWIC
