The Parts Warehouse Assistant is responsible for all aspects of parts management and daily operations of the parts warehouse. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key priorities will include processing shipments, coordinating daily warehouse activities, inventory management, warehouse space allocation, and operational support of other departments 


 ESSENTIAL DUTIES

      

Parts   Inventory Management

1. Receive, inspect, and process   incoming parts shipments.

2. Conduct regular cycle counts and   physical inventory audits.

3. Update inventory management systems   with accurate stock levels.

4. Verify parts against purchase orders   and packing slips.


Warehouse   Organization and Storage

  5. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and organized warehouse.

6. Responsible for accurately warehousing cores used for rebuilding or to be returned to the vendor.

7. Implement and maintain inventory location systems.

8. Process customer returns as received according to Parts Manager instructions.


Shipping & Receiving

9. Coordinate the loading and unloading of equipment and components efficiently and safely.

10. Coordinate receiving, storing and distribution activities in a professional manner that optimizes warehouse space with consideration being given for movement, weight, size, and stocking levels.

11. Ensure that all orders are processed for delivery and/or pickup promptly and efficiently.


Additional Parts Operational Duties

12. Coordinate standards for meeting deadlines on all assignments as requested by management in areas of departmental responsibility.

13. Inform your work group of changes in paper flow as it affects your part of the overall operation.

14. Assist in training new associates in his/her job role, safety awareness and other company standards.

15. Coordinate the maintenance of all equipment used in the used parts department.

16. Assist with teardowns of engines and any additional duties as required to support future parts business.

17. Be available for required overtime when necessary.


Safety

18. Report all recognized unsafe   conditions or acts to Management.

19. Wear proper PPE when necessary.

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

20. Attend training sessions as   required.

21. Perform all other duties as   assigned. 

Requirements

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of relevant experience and/or        training 

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES

  •  Valid Texas driver license

EXPERIENCE

  • 2-4  years of experience in related field
  • Previous  experience using forklifts, floor jacks, pallet jacks, high lifts, and/or power jacks
