Job Description:
Provides information to diagnose patient illnesses by operating radiologic equipment to produce radiographs. Radiologic Technologists report to their assigned division manager.
Expectations:
- Complete all exams that are assigned, in a timely manner.
- Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
- Maintains production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures; observing radiographic results; making necessary adjustments.
- Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors.
- Keeping all paperwork, equipment, vehicles, organized and neat.
- Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; informing supervisor of supplies needs.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. All technologists are responsible for staying up to date on licensure.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and policies issued by Vuepoint Diagnostics.
- Documents patient care services by noting all necessary information in Rapid Rad. Also, passing along any important information to your assigned supervisor.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements:
- ARRT (R) registry/or accredited school graduate (CPR required)
- Minimum 1-year previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Valid Driver’s License and maintains good driving record
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to ensure confidentiality of all patients and other relevant information under HIPAA Guidelines
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Internet Explorer; Outlook, IOS.
