Assembler
The Assembler at UTC/Eulex will be responsible for the precision assembly or sub-assembly of electronic and ceramic parts and components in a high-performance manufacturing environment. This role supports the company’s mission to deliver engineered components of the highest quality by performing mechanical and/or manual assembly work using small tools and following detailed instructions. Expected Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time 40 hours per week, Day Shift
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the assembly or sub-assembly of electronic and ceramic parts and components.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, etc.
- Installs, mounts, fastens, aligns, and adjusts parts, components, wiring, and harnesses.
- May replace and repair defective or rejected components.
- Maintains record of assembly process, progress, and problems
- Utilizes appropriate hand tools and machines to assemble products. Use small hand tools, tweezers, and microscopes to perform intricate assembly tasks
- Follow detailed written and verbal instructions to ensure product quality and process compliance
- Operate and monitor production equipment related to capacitor assembly
- Examines and tests assembly at various stages of production in order to identify errors. Discards or corrects assembly when appropriate.
- Conduct basic quality inspections to verify proper assembly and identify defects
- Maintain clean and organized workstations in accordance with 5S practices
- Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding material shortages, tooling issues, or quality concerns
- Accurately complete production documentation and time tracking
- Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational procedures, guidelines and requirements.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–2 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing or precision assembly role within a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
- Experience working with ceramic components or cleanroom standards is a plus
- Work effectively in a collaborative team-based manufacturing environment
- Read and interpret technical documents and work instructions
- Perform repetitive tasks with precision and attention to detail
- Manage time efficiently and meet production deadlines
- Follow safety protocols and maintain clean work areas
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP systems a plus
- Willing and able to learn other applications as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must meet “US Person” requirement.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
· Primarily based on the manufacturing floor.
· Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
· Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
· Exposure to manufacturing equipment, powders, chemicals, kilns, electronic test equipment, and varying temperatures.
· Ability to use required PPE including safety glasses, safety shoes, and gloves.
