School Nurse RN
Description

Ortonville Area Health Services is seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a School Nurse. This position plays a vital role in promoting and protecting the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff while supporting a positive learning environment. 


The School Nurse provides direct nursing care, medication administration, health assessments, chronic disease management, health education, care coordination, and population health support. This role collaborates closely with students, families, school personnel, healthcare providers, and community partners to ensure students have the resources and care necessary to thrive academically and personally. This position also supports the Trojan Clinic by assisting providers, facilitating clinic operations, and participating in preventive health initiatives that improve access to care for students. 


The School Nurse follows the school-year academic calendar while serving as the primary health resource within the school setting. During summer months, the School Nurse will work within Ortonville Area Health Services clinics, providing direct patient care and clinical support to ensure continuity of services and year-round employment. 


Education/Experience:

· Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in MN

· CPR Instructor certification or willingness to obtain certification

· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with school and healthcare teams 


Hours and Pay:

· Regular Part Time, 60-72 hours per 2 week pay period
