As a Plow Supervisor, you'll oversee daily snow operations, support your crew in the field, ensure routes are completed according to contract specifications, and maintain constant communication with management throughout each storm.   


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate pickup trucks equipped with snow plows to remove snow from commercial properties.
  • Stack, relocate, and manage snow piles to maximize parking availability and maintain site safety.
  • Clear loading docks, parking lots, drive lanes, and designated areas according to customer specifications.
  • Apply de-icing materials when required.
  • Respond to snow dispatches within 30 minutes of being contacted, use dispatch app to notify crews, and follow up with team members who do not respond.
  • Work overnight, early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts during snow events.
  • Conduct pre-shift safety meetings and equipment inspections. 
  • Ensure pickup trucks are fueled, maintained, and ready for operation before and after every storm. 
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and report maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Accurately log completed services using a tablet.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding property conditions, equipment issues, and completed work.
  • Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures.
  • Assist with other seasonal property maintenance duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid New York State Driver's License (CDL preferred but not required)
  • Previous commercial snow plowing experience required
  • Previous crew leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to look over shoulder, twist, and turn body/neck repeatedly for long hours
  • Ability to safely operate snowplow equipment in severe winter conditions
  • Ability to work extended hours during snow events
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to be on call to work variable hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Reliable transportation to report for work
  • Must be able to use a tablet for service documentation
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Salary Description
$34.00 - $42.00 Hourly, Based on Experience
