Star Lumber & Supply is looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to partner with leaders across several of our most active business divisions. This is a strategic HR role for someone who enjoys coaching leaders, solving employee relations challenges, developing talent, and helping create a high-performing culture.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with business leaders to achieve operational and people goals
- Coach managers on employee relations, performance management, and leadership development
- Lead recruiting and onboarding efforts
- Support talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
- Analyze workforce metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Operations and Safety to support a safe, productive workplace
Requirements
What We're Looking For:
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience
- Experience supporting manufacturing, construction, distribution, or industrial operations preferred
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Experience designing and delivering leadership development training
- Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to travel up to 10%
