Paralegal – Real Estate Finance Transactions

Description

Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson P.S. (HCMP) is seeking a full-time paralegal to support its high-volume real estate finance transactional practice. Candidates must be reliable and able to work as a part of a team; possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills; be able to work independently, exercise good judgment in prioritizing and managing multiple projects efficiently and with accuracy; and take pride in consistently delivering the highest quality work product.   


Duties include:  

  • Document Drafting: Prepare initial drafts of loan documents, revise loan documents as deal terms may change, maintain and update form loan documents for various lenders 
  • Legal Research: Perform litigation, bankruptcy, and UCC searches in relation to real estate transactions 
  • UCC Preparation: Prepare and file UCC filings 
  • Closings: Prepare final documents in preparation for closing, organize executed originals and ensure that all documents have been fully executed for closing, deliver fully executed loan documents to Lender post-closing 
  • Due Diligence: Organize and maintain due diligence files 
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Prior experience supporting a high-volume transactional practice 
  • Experience with title and survey work  
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office (in particular, MS Word and use of Styles) and .pdf applications
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in working with document management systems (preferred) 
  • Ability to proactively identify and address needs, take initiative in managing projects, and keep matters moving forward to completion. Must be able to follow complex instructions and, at times, work within short deadlines
  • Ability to work occasional overtime as needed

The estimated salary range for this role is $90,000-$145,000 with bonus-earning potential and is based on the desired experience range at the time of this posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.

Salary Description
$90,000-$145,000
