Principal Purpose of Job: To greet guests with a friendly, lasting first impression.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Greet guests in porte cache, open vehicle door for passengers, valet park car and deliver luggage and vehicle keys to lodge room, retrieve vehicles for guests departing and load luggage, maintain integrity of front entrance and lobby, provide requested shuttle service, perform room inspections pre and post arrival, follow department and Ranch policies and procedures, assist Agents, Reservation Specialists, Night Auditor and PBX Operator, answer guest questions, be knowledgeable about other departments, be aware of guests and Ranch issues.
Other Duties: Assist the General Manager, Lodging Director, and Guest Services Manager. Complete special projects as requested by either. With the evolution of Devil’s Thumb Ranch the responsibilities of this position may change. Bag Wrangler’s must be prepared to accept new responsibilities and transfer others.
Personal Attributes: Should be outgoing and friendly, enjoy working with the public and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Work well alone or with other team members. Professional dress and carry a good attitude. Be flexible to the needs of the department and the Ranch.
Physical Demands: Have ability to stand for long periods of time and able to lift/carry 50-75 lbs.
Education/Experience: Bellman/Valet experience preferred but not required
Special Skills/Equipment: Basic computer/email knowledge required, has a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to operate manual, automatic and diesel vehicles. Minimum of 21 years of age.
