What You’ll Do

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with daily living activities
• Assist residents with mobility, positioning, meals and other daily needs
• Take and record vital signs and monitor residents' well-being
• Assist with maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment
• Communicate changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team
• Treat residents with dignity, respect and kindness

 Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to interact with residents in a pleasant manner
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology
• Knowledge of the general principles and practices of nursing

Minimum Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current, unrestricted Virginia Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
• Completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant Education training program and current unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant certification from the Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Nursing; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day.
• The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients/residents weighing over 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
