Position Summary

We are seeking a Client Support Specialist who provides administrative and technical support to the Commercial Lines Department by assisting with the daily processing of incoming and outgoing business activities. This position partners closely with Commercial Account Managers and Producers to deliver prompt, efficient, and high-quality service to clients while ensuring the accuracy of policy servicing, documentation, and account maintenance.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Commercial Lines professional who possesses strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Process policy audits received from carriers and refer items to the Commercial Account Manager (CAM) when applicable, following agency audit procedures.
  • Review and process endorsements and policy change requests for accuracy after they have been ordered by the CAM, including carrier follow-up as needed.
  • Prepare endorsement summaries and supporting documentation.
  • Assist Account Managers with pre-renewal marketing activities.
  • Process and review renewal policies for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare renewal certificates of insurance and basic new certificates as directed by the CAM.
  • Update policy information, billing screens, company commissions, producer codes, company codes, and status codes within agency management systems.
  • Process agency-billed invoices related to endorsements and audits.
  • Obtain, organize, and file electronic documents from carrier websites into ImageRight.
  • Assist in developing initial client proposals for review by the Account Manager.
  • Navigate carrier websites to obtain renewals, endorsements, invoices, policy documents, and other account-related information.
  • Maintain accurate client records and policy documentation in accordance with agency standards and procedures.
  • Provide timely and professional support to Account Managers, Producers, carriers, and clients.

Qualifications


Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty insurance experience.
  • Current and active Ohio Property & Casualty (P&C) License required.

Professional Development

  • Maintain a current Ohio P&C License.
  • Participate in continuing education and insurance-related professional development, such as CISR, CIC, or similar industry designation programs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance policies, coverages, endorsements, renewals, and audits.
  • Ability to review certificate holder requirements and verify applicable policy coverages.
  • Knowledge of certificate wording requirements and the ability to coordinate with insureds regarding required coverage additions, quotations, and compliance needs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify missing coverages, coverage gaps, and policy discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Proficient in AMS360, ImageRight, internet research, and carrier web portals.
  • Ability to effectively navigate multiple carrier websites to obtain policy documents, invoices, endorsements, and renewal information.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities while adhering to agency guidelines, procedures, and service standards.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing responsibilities, and manage a high-volume workload with accuracy and efficiency.
