Description
- Assessing, diagnosing, screening, and preventing language, speech, swallowing disorders and assisting with cognitive decline prevention services.
- Communicating with the patient, their family members, and physicians to design effective treatment plans.
- Educating patients and their families on speech disorders and available therapies.
- Evaluating patient progress and implementing changes to therapy programs as required.
- Attending patient focused meetings and other team meetings as needed.
- Provide efficient services within compliance guidelines
- Perform timely and supportive documentation
- Collaborate with Team Members on cases
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards
Requirements
- Master's degree in speech therapy or speech-language pathology.
- Relevant license and certification.
- Sound understanding of speech-related disorders and treatments.
- Excellent relationship-building skills.
- Experience with long-term care setting
- Full time day shift
