Summary of Position:
The Busser position at Hog Island Oyster Co. (HIOC) ensures that tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset between seatings. Bussers will help serve food and refill beverages as necessary, while also assisting with the cleaning, processing and restocking of dishes, silverware, and napkins.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting the guests' needs
- Ensuring menus, crockery, and cutlery are cleaned and replenished between tables
- Communicate in a timely manner, while being open and respectful
- Knowledge of the menu
- Filling in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
- Be knowledgeable of restaurant, rules and procedures
- Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
- Fill empty water glasses
- Set decorations when needed
- Helping complete any and all side work
- Other duties as assigned
