Pay: $22.00/hr. - $25.00/hr. depending on experience

Summary
This Security role regularly interacts with guests and staff and will assist them in various capacities. Responsibilities include monitoring Ski Area properties, including the responsibility for securing buildings, locking various doors and gates, and monitoring the property for fires, alarms, hazards, and other emergencies. Other duties include, but are not limited to accurately documenting incidents, parking lot management and liaison between the police and fire departments. The Security will report directly to the Security Manager, they may be required to work a variety of day and night shifts including holidays
Shift Rotation: Rotation of 7 days on, 7 days off. (F - Sun 0700 - 1900 = 3/12's then M - Th 0700 - 1700 = 4/10's. Then the following Fri - Thurs OFF. Exception = swapping days off for schedule requests.) November - Mid May.

Essential Functions
- Patrol LSA property to detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and buildings. Respond to security and fire alarms and investigate and document the cause of events.
- Monitor visitors and other persons to guard against theft, maintain security, discourage criminal activity, and protect property.
- Monitor critical or designated infrastructure for power or mechanical failure and promptly communicate the need for maintenance.
- Enforce safety policies and rules as determined by Loveland Ski Area (LSA).
- Respond to and document security or safety incidents and notify the appropriate authorities if necessary.
- Assist guests with locating lost items, initiate theft investigations & documentation if appropriate.
- High School/GED or equivalent
- Security/Law Enforcement and/or guest service background, preferred.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record per LSA Vehicle Policy.
- Ability to always communicate effectively with all varieties of employees and guests.
- Familiarity with de-escalation techniques.
- Basic computer skills such as MS Word, Excel, and email.
- English language proficiently to hear, speak and communicate in writing. Bi-lingual a plus.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Strong emphasis on attendance and punctuality.
- Flexibility on schedule based on business needs.
- Must be able to carry/lift/push /pull up to 50lbs.
- Strong physical fitness and the ability to work in all weather conditions at high altitude.
- Experienced intermediate and above skier or snowboarder preferred
