Role Overview:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for making sure the day-to-day activity and tasks are taken care of, so the Project Manager can focus on high-level strategic issues and work to solve any problems that arise as the project progresses. What becomes critical in this role is the ability to coordinate a more diverse project portfolio.

You are action-oriented, resourceful, and approachable while also having the ability to influence and lead significant change.  This position is a hybrid role based out of the the manufacturing facilities in Cypress reporting to the program manager of the R&D and production facilities.  


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop the project scope(s) in-depth to schedule deliverables, estimate costs, and create execution plan and baselines.
  • Evaluate potential problems and work with R&D / Production managers to develop solutions
  • Negotiate with vendors, subcontractors and internal customers on scope changes, cost adders, and any variance to the original project scope. Ability to work and succeed in a high degree of uncertainty and complex interactions.
  • Issuance and management of document transmittals and other project related queries 
  • Manage project related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored
  • Maintain effective communication with engineering, procurement, construction, quality and commissioning to ensure activity completion and reporting
  • Lead resolution of technical specifications and contract issues with suppliers and end-users
  • Identifies risks in projects and applies techniques to assess and mitigate the risks using the help and support from project sponsors. Participates in project risk reviews and appropriate mitigation planning. 
Requirements

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Related Experience 
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a relevant role
  • Minimum 1 years technical field experience; specifically with energy & technology
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and project management skills related to prioritizing and executing timely deliverables within timeline, scope, and budget
  • The ability to understand business needs to drive buy-in among company leaders to enable transformation and advance strategic priorities while building rapport and fostering a collaborative working environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams), with the ability to build structured trackers, and reports
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP systems is preferred
  • Field travel required
  • Physical requirements and working conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 20 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone
