Starting Pay: $43,680-$53,433


As a Maintenance Supervisor at Pathfinder, you'll lead a skilled maintenance team while helping ensure our homes, facilities, and vehicles remain safe, functional, and welcoming for the people we serve. This hands-on leadership role combines technical expertise, team development, and operational oversight to support our mission of empowering individuals and strengthening our communities.


As a Maintenance Supervisor at Pathfinder, You Will:

Leadership & Team Development

  • Supervise, coach, and support Property Maintenance Technicians across multiple locations. 
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate maintenance staff while fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability. 
  • Provide hands-on leadership by working alongside the maintenance team when operational needs require. 
  • Promote Pathfinder's mission, values, and commitment to quality in every aspect of the department. 

Maintenance Operations & Preventive Care

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department. 
  • Assign work priorities and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules. 
  • Perform and oversee repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, grounds maintenance, and general building systems. 
  • Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. 
  • Support fleet maintenance by troubleshooting vehicle issues and coordinating repairs with vendors. 

Facility Planning & Project Coordination

  • Evaluate buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs and recommend improvements. 
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, and maintenance projects from planning through completion. 
  • Assist with remodeling projects, capital improvements, and facility upgrades. 
  • Provide maintenance data, cost estimates, and recommendations to support annual budgets and long-term facility planning. 

Compliance, Safety & Quality Assurance

  • Prepare facilities for regulatory, safety, and life-safety inspections. 
  • Assist with corrective actions resulting from inspections, audits, or identified deficiencies. 
  • Ensure maintenance operations comply with organizational policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations. 
  • Participate in the department's on-call rotation and respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies when scheduled. 

Communication & Collaboration

  • Build strong working relationships with departments across the organization. 
  • Communicate maintenance priorities, facility concerns, and project updates with leadership. 
  • Partner with the Director of Facilities and Property Management to improve operations and long-term planning.

Requirements

Preferred Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible maintenance experience required, including experience with residential and commercial facilities.
  • Ability to understand new issues quickly and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to inspire confidence and create trust.
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.
  • Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, and safe driving record.
  • Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language.
  • Knowledge and experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, carpentry, grounds maintenance, and general building maintenance required.
  • Vehicle/mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
