JOB SUMMARY:


The Field Marketing Associate is responsible for independently managing and executing field marketing programs, digital initiatives, and physician education activities in alignment with New World Medical’s glaucoma portfolio strategy.


This role serves as a key marketing partner to the sales organization and cross-functional teams, ensuring successful execution of marketing campaigns, peer-to-peer programs, digital marketing initiatives, and customer engagement activities. The position requires the ability to exercise independent judgment, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, identify opportunities for process improvement, and make day-to-day decisions that support commercial objectives. The Field Marketing Associate will regularly interact with physicians, key opinion leaders, vendors, and internal stakeholders while representing the Marketing organization in field-facing activities.


The position exercises independent judgment and discretion in prioritizing projects, managing competing timelines, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, evaluating program effectiveness, and recommending process improvements while operating within established marketing strategies and commercial priorities.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Peer-to-Peer Program Coordination

  • Coordinate planning and execution of corporate peer-to-peer programs, including but not limited to dinners, wet labs, and virtual events. 
  • Manage logistics across internal teams and external stakeholders (sales, marketing, KOLs, vendors). 
  • Support speaker engagement processes, including Statements of Work (SOWs), contracting, and payment coordination. 
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and independently recommend process improvements, future programming, and operational efficiencies to improve physician engagement and support commercial objectives.
  • Ensure programs are executed in alignment with brand and compliance standards.

Field Marketing Activities Support

  • Manage local Peer-To-Peer programs with the Surgical Sales Consultants (SSCs) by managing event invitation templates, speaker communications, statements of work, honorarium set up and coordinating with product managers on slide decks and surgeon training for presentations before scheduled events. 
  • Lead operational execution of field marketing initiatives and independently coordinate project logistics to ensure successful delivery of physician education programs and commercial activities.
  • Assist in tracking program activities and supporting reporting needs.
  • Create invitations for dinner meetings, lunches, etc. 
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to independently prioritize field marketing initiatives, coordinate cross-functional resources, and ensure alignment with commercial priorities.
  • Represent the Marketing department in field-facing initiatives by collaborating with physicians, key opinion leaders (KOLs), vendors, and Sales partners while supporting physician education programs and commercial initiatives.

Digital Marketing

  • Support rollout and execution of marketing campaigns (field-based and digital). 
  • Execute email blasts through Constant Contact for US and OUS on a regular basis. Campaigns will be developed by the Product Managers and will follow the approval process before delivery. 
  • Prepare advertising schedule per year including due dates, specs, and submission information as well as timely execution of deliverables provided by product managers.
  • Create calendar invitations for each advertisement due date for the Product Manager’s calendar. 
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure timely delivery of campaign assets and messaging. 
  • Assist in maintaining consistency of product messaging across initiatives. 
  • Assist in monitoring market dynamics and share trends by organizing internal and external data sources.
  • Analyze digital marketing performance metrics and independently recommend enhancements to campaigns, digital marketing initiatives, and program effectiveness based on business results and market trends.
  • Manage and maintain company website content while identifying opportunities to improve content effectiveness and digital engagement through recommendations to Marketing leadership.
  • Manage execution of the weekly social media calendar, monitor engagement trends, and recommend future content enhancements to improve engagement and content effectiveness.
  • Oversee organization, version control, and accessibility of digital marketing assets across internal platforms.
  • Support management and updates of the LEARN platform and other educational resources.
  • Manage deployment of digital marketing materials by independently coordinating priorities, timelines, and cross-functional stakeholders to support commercial initiatives.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing processes and independently implement approved operational enhancements that increase efficiency and support commercial objectives. 
Requirements

  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms and campaign deployment.
  • Understanding of digital marketing fundamentals, including content structure and user experience.
  • Ability to coordinate across teams to gather, update, and deploy content in a timely manner.
  • Understanding of healthcare marketing and compliance considerations is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, prioritize competing business initiatives, and make sound decisions within established marketing strategies and commercial objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, healthcare, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4+ years of experience in marketing, program coordination, event management, or commercial operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage marketing programs and projects, prioritize competing business needs, exercise sound judgment, and recommend solutions that support commercial objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination experience required.
  • Experience in healthcare, medical device, or ophthalmology is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience managing website content and digital assets (CMS platforms preferred).


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including air and ground travel to attend ophthalmology meetings, peer-to-peer programs, industry congresses, and other commercial activities across the United States.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed to support physician education programs, events, and marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working on a computer, participating in virtual meetings, or attending educational sessions.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a computer, keyboard, printer, and mobile communication devices.
  • Ability to move materials and equipment used for educational programs and meetings, including occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, practice staff, and internal stakeholders in both in-person and virtual environments.
  • Ability to view and work on computer screens for extended periods while preparing communications, reports, and presentations.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle for travel to meetings and program locations.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain required credentials for access to hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and other healthcare facilities.
