SUMMARY

The Director of Sales will support and report on key business information to drive Clear Touch business objectives to their assigned Account Managers in their region. The Director of Sales is also responsible for developing strategies for the market activities of the company.  The position is required to provide technical, functional, or other forms of leadership. The position reports to and is required to have a close liaison with the VP of Sales to ensure that the team is meeting the goals and company standards.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Collaborating with VP of Sales and other Senior Executives to establish and execute a sales goal for the region
  • Managing a sales team of Account Managers in order to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed corporate-set goals
  • Assisting Account Managers in their techniques
  • Developing specific plans to ensure growth in both long and short-term goals
  • Educating the sales team with presentations of strategies, seminars and regular meetings
  • Reviewing regional expenses and recommending improvements
  • Achieves regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change.
  • Meets regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for the assigned territories in support of the company’s objectives.
  • Maintains and expands customer base by counseling district sales representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.
  • Implements trade promotions by publishing, tracking, and evaluating trade spending.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
  • Accomplishes sales and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field
  • 5 or more years of experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager or similar senior sales role
  • A natural leader with proven management skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in our area of sales
  • Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs)
  • Understanding and the ability to teach others how to use technology
  • Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and motivational skills
  • Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Persistent, unyielding, and result-driven mindset

REQUIRED, SPECIALIZED OR TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

  • Demonstrable ability to present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive level management
  • Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce), MS Office, and Google Docs, Sheets, etc
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong channel management skills 
  • Valid State-issued driver’s license and automobile insurance 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

Equipment Utilized:  computer, network, software, mobile phone, scanner, copier, telephone, voicemail, interactive panel, mobile stand, impact driver, screwdriver, wrench, various hand tools, and GPS

Physical Activities:  climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting, walking, grasping, typing, talking, hearing.
Visual Acuity:  heavy acuity is required in this position.
Physical Demands: sedentary work exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects; driving; participation in a variety of activities in both an indoor and outdoor setting.

WORK CONDITIONS 

  • Up to 90% travel to meetings and activities throughout the region with the possibility of overnight stays periodic and scheduled in advance.
  • There is no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions with the exception of weather-related travel conditions.
