The Blue Barn is Hiring!

We are looking for Hard working and motivated individuals who are interested in being a part of the Temporary fair workers at our large concession stand, Blue Barn, at the Minnesota State Fair.

Training and Orientation will be held on Saturday August 22nd (From 9am-2pm, time at this point is tentative).  

The Fair runs the 12 consecutive days from August 27th and ends on Labor Day, Monday, September 7th. The Blue Barn booth is open from 7am-11pm.

We are looking for Guest Service professionals who are able to function as utility players moving from cashiers, runners, prep cooks, line cooks and dishwashers..

You Must work a minimum of 4 shifts per week and the average shift is 8 hours per day.

Compensation begins at $15 per hour, but is based on experience. This is a tipped position. Admission into the fairgrounds will be provided each day you work as long as you are on time for your scheduled shift that day so you are able to enjoy the fair before and after your shift.

You will also receive a shift meal at the end of your shift, and this may open up an opportunity to gain permanent employment with the Blue Plate Restaurant Group, if successful.
