CDL Material Handler
Description

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for moving and proper storage of all materials.

· Required to timely move materials and finished goods between operating lines and storage, timely out loading of product to customers.

· Examine incoming material received, verify part numbers, and check discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts. Must be able to properly use a Production Inventory Control List.

· Maintain orderly, neat and clean storage areas.

· Properly maintain and examine vehicles to include all trucks and forklifts as well as material handling tools.

· Verify all security measures are maintained with regards to building locks, doors, gates, secure keys, and other security efforts in place.

· Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Requirements

  

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalency required.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have a valid CDL driver’s license with no restrictions, be capable of driving the manual transmission company trucks, and be willing to obtain a HAZMAT endorsement.
  • Ability to properly operate equipment to safety and productivity requirements. 
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and foster a safe working environment.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary.

Training Requirements:

  • Amenable to additional training and/or instruction

Physical Job Demands:

  • Heavy physical effort required.  Lifting will be required.
  • Job may require standing for extended periods of time and/or working outdoors.
  • Subject to random drug and alcohol testing under DOD and DOT regulations.
