Facilities Coordinator (Non-Exempt)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Facilities Coordinator to support the maintenance and day-to-day operations of our three distribution centers. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, completing repairs, coordinating with vendors, and assisting with warehouse operations as needed to ensure all facilities remain safe, clean, and fully operational. This is a non-exempt, hourly position. A standard 40-hour workweek is expected, with occasional overtime, travel, or after-hours work as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance across all distribution centers
- Conduct regular site inspections, identify issues, and complete or coordinate repairs
- Execute hands-on repairs including carpentry, drywall, painting, minor plumbing, and basic electrical work
- Complete general facility tasks such as hanging fixtures, assembling equipment, and maintaining building appearance
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues to minimize disruptions
Vendor & Service Coordination
- Coordinate subcontractors for maintenance, repairs, and small construction projects
- Oversee service providers including cleaning crews, lawn care, and waste management
- Monitor vendor performance and report service issues
- Assist with obtaining quotes and scheduling vendor work
Project & Facility Support
- Support small construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects
- Assist with scheduling and tracking project progress
- Maintain facility fixtures, equipment, and overall upkeep
Warehouse Operations Support
- Assist warehouse team as needed to meet business demands
- Pick, pack, and fulfill customer orders accurately
- Receive, unload, and put away incoming inventory
- Operate a delivery van for local customer deliveries (as needed)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Support general warehouse efficiency and workflow during peak periods
Equipment & Safety
- Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment, including lifts or forklifts if required
- Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe working environment
- Maintain organized and safe work areas
Administrative & Communication
- Document maintenance work, inspections, and vendor activities
- Communicate regularly with leadership regarding facility needs and priorities
- Track maintenance tasks and prioritize work across multiple locations
Travel
- Travel between three distribution centers to perform maintenance and support operations
- Manage time effectively to ensure coverage across all locations
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of facilities maintenance or building operations experience
- Strong hands-on skills in general maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, painting, basic electrical)
- Experience working with vendors and/or warehouse operations preferred
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders
- Comfortable working in warehouse, outdoor, and varying environmental conditions
- Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and delivery vehicles
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to travel regularly between locations
- Willingness to work occasional overtime or respond to urgent facility needs
