Description

     

  • Work effectively with        supervisors, foreman and peers to operate equipment to move objects that        range from 1 to 50 tons between unloading, processing, loading, and        storage areas.
  • Assist in initial setup        and cleanup of worksite .
  • Maintain the equipment,        machines, and electrical components.
  • Reporting to supervisor        regarding any damage to racks, faulty equipment, or any other safety        hazards.
  • Attend and participate        in weekly Safety Meetings and daily Tool Box Meetings and all other        Safety related meetings.
  • Perform routine post and        pre inspections of equipment and rigging daily. 
  • Safety of all staff in        work area.

LEVEL I


Can handle bare pipe only. Can hold     back up on a truck crew for bare pipe. Cannot build wall for stacking.


Can stack bare pipe only


Can swing bare pipe only.

LEVEL II


Can haul FBE coated pipe. Can rack     FBE coated pipe. Able to load bare     pipe for a truck crew. 


Can stack coated pipe and load/unload     trucks.


Can break down CWC pipe for     stripping. 


Can load coated or CWC pipe on trucks     or barge. 

 

LEVEL III


Can load coated pipe on trucks. Can     also load 80' FBE coated pipe onto railcars and trucks. Able to run     multiple pieces of heavy equipment.


Can stack and load 80' coated pipe. 


Can Load Coated or CWC pipe on     trucks, barge or rail. Can make any lift for yard operations within picker     limits.


Can load all Coated pipe in 40' or     80' lengths on large offshore barges or rail. Can make any heavy lifts     needed for operations.

Note: Small forklift does not have any   distinguishing levels.



EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE | SKILLS 



o Highs School   Diploma or equivalent preferred

o 3 years   construction or oilfield related experience preferred

o 3 years’   experience operating heavy lift equipment such as Crane, Front-End Loader or   Excavator

o Rigger   certification preferred 

o Willingness to   work in inclement weather

o Must be   available to work overtime and shift work



PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTS

     

Environment: Coating processing plant and yard environment; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, gases, solvents, electrical energy, toxic materials, hazardous chemicals and all types of weather and temperature conditions; work in confined spaces; work and/or walk on various types of surfaces including slippery or uneven surfaces.

Physical: Sufficient physical ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting; standing and walking for prolonged periods of time; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and operating motorized equipment.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents and to operate equipment.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
