Aldrich CPAs and Advisors is looking for a Trust & Estate Tax Manager to join our growing tax team. This role will support complex trust, estate, gift, and high-net-worth individual tax work, with a focus on review, planning, research, and client service. 


This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys specialized tax work, values collaborative client service, and wants to help strengthen a growing trust and estate practice. The ideal candidate brings gift and estate tax experience, along with the ability to support high-net-worth individual tax review. 


As a Trust & Estate Tax Manager at Aldrich, you will work closely with clients, partners, and team members to deliver tax compliance, planning, consulting, and relationship management services. This role serves as a technical resource for assigned client relationships with partner oversight and support. 


This is a full-time position with remote or local office options, depending on candidate location.

Practice Focus: Trust, Estate, Gift, and HNW Tax 


This role is a good fit for someone who can review complex returns, research technical tax matters, support planning opportunities, and provide clear guidance to clients and internal teams. 


You will join a collaborative team and help fill an important specialty need across trust and estate tax, gift tax, and high-net-worth individual work. 

Requirements
  •  5+ years of recent public accounting experience with a trust and estate tax focus 
  • Experience with trust, estate, and gift tax matters 
  • Ability to review high-net-worth individual tax returns 
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills 
  • Ability to build and retain client relationships 
  • Ability to supervise, mentor, and develop others 
  • Licensed CPA or JD required 

You’ll Get a Chance To 

  • Review complex trust, estate, gift, and high-net-worth individual tax returns 
  • Provide advanced technical assistance, tax planning, and research on complex tax matters 
  • Work directly with clients on follow-up items, planning opportunities, and ongoing needs 
  • Manage research projects to deliver accurate and efficient work products 
  • Prepare complex trust, estate, and gift tax returns as needed 
  • Serve as a trusted tax resource for assigned client relationships 
  • Develop and mentor staff and seniors through training and performance feedback 
  • Manage the risk and financial performance of engagements, including billings, collections, and project budgets 
  • Collaborate with partners and team members to support continued growth in the practice

At Aldrich, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each candidate. The compensation offered may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, and other job-related reasons. Aldrich also ensures internal equity in all pay decisions. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $135,000 - $175,000. 


You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational goals.
