In this role, you will guide complex healthcare projects from early programming and planning through design and construction. In this role, you will create thoughtful planning and design solutions that support patients, caregivers, staff, and communities.

You will work closely with clients, clinical users, project managers, designers, and technical team members. Depending on your experience and interests, you may also take on increasing responsibility for project coordination, client communication, and project management.

This position may be filled at the Design Staff IV or Design Staff V level, depending on experience and depth of healthcare expertise.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Guide complex healthcare projects through programming, planning, design, documentation, permitting, construction administration, and closeout.
  • Lead medical planning, clinical programming, departmental planning, and user group discussions.
  • Translate clinical workflows and operational needs into clear planning and design solutions.
  • Champion design excellence by helping teams connect planning, user needs, technical requirements, and sustainability targets with broader project goals.
  • Develop space programs, room inventories, adjacency studies, departmental layouts, stacking and blocking options, and medical planning diagrams.
  • Facilitate client meetings, planning workshops, presentations, and collaborative decision-making.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and provide quality review of project documentation.
  • Mentor colleagues, strengthen medical planning knowledge across the firm, and contribute to proposals, interviews, and client relationships.
