Scheduler
Description

Summary:


Schedulers are responsible for coordinating and developing production schedules on a daily or weekly basis to meet goals. They take stock of inventory levels and facilitate providing necessary materials and components.



Principle Duties and Areas of Responsibility:

  • Interpret demand information to plan and schedule multiple products, on multiple assembly lines, in multiple plants
  • Determine and incorporate production capacity, by production and assembly line, into plans and convey issues and proposed solutions to management
  • Track work order progress against determined goals. Anticipate issues and facilitate the conversation required to mitigate before they arise
  • Document information from management within the ERP system and/or spreadsheets and disperse to departments as required
  • Continuous improvement relating to production planning, material management and scheduling processes
  • Entry and maintain demand forecast in Epicor
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
  • Adheres to company quality protocols and processes
  • Perform job duties in an ethical, professional manner which is consistent with the H&S handbook
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Business or any related field preferred but not required
  • Have a detailed understanding of MRP, inventory control / management systems and ERP with Epicor experience preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Attention to detail with strong analytic and mathematical skills
