Position Summary
Hebrew Union College seeks a dynamic and relationship-focused Manager of Programs and Engagement to lead volunteer leadership engagement initiatives that strengthen relationships with alumni, donors, volunteer leaders, and institutional partners.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Advancement Operations and Communications, this position develops engagement strategies, manages signature programs and events, supports volunteer leadership groups, and creates meaningful opportunities that inspire philanthropic support and deepen connections to HUC's mission.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engagement strategies for volunteer leadership groups and advisory councils.
- Recruit, steward, and support volunteer leaders and institutional ambassadors.
- Plan and execute leadership meetings, educational programs, webinars, retreats, and special events.
- Partner with Advancement and Communications to develop engagement materials and communications.
- Coordinate event logistics, vendor management, budgets, and post-event follow-up.
- Track engagement metrics and constituent activity using Raiser's Edge.
- Support fundraising initiatives and other strategic Advancement projects.
Required
- Bachelor's degree
- Five or more years of nonprofit fundraising, advancement, or higher education experience
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and project management skills
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with CRM or donor management systems (Raiser's Edge preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams
- Experience working with boards, volunteer leaders, and donors
- Experience planning complex events and engagement programs.
