Position Summary
We are looking for a Game Analytics Engineer for our Las Vegas studio to deepen how we analyze game math and combine it with live game data to make higher-performing games, faster. This role brings rigorous analysis to the math work of the game design team, using both the math behind a game and how it performs in market to sharpen design decisions and shorten the path from concept to a strong game.
The role works closely with the Head of Game Design, the Math Director, and the game design leads. The work is shared with the Chicago and Pune studios. It is a hands-on analysis role that builds its own tools, not a machine-learning or research role. AI-assisted development is central to how the role builds.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
- Analyze game math and simulation results to understand what makes a game perform, and feed that back into design
- Combine the math view of a game with live performance and player-session data to guide design decisions and bring more success
- Own the quality of the data behind the analysis, keeping that data clean and trustworthy
- Define and maintain the metrics that determine how a game is performing, so design decisions and live results are measured against the same standard
- Turn analysis into clear, actionable recommendations, and present findings so the design team and leads can act on them
- Build and improve the tools and simulations that support this analysis, using AI coding tools to prototype, iterate, and ship quickly
- Keep the tools and the analysis behind them documented and reliable enough for the team to depend on day to day
- Work closely with the Senior Producer, Game Design, to develop a roadmap and track progress
Experience and Education
- Strong data analysis skills, with a track record of building internal tools and keeping them maintainable
- Fluent, demonstrable use of AI coding tools to produce robust, maintainable code, and able to read and check what they generate
- Strong understanding of math, probability, and statistical analysis
- Highly detail oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills
- 3+ years in a data analysis, analytics, or technical role that included building working tools; we are open to more experienced candidates, with the level set to match
- Strong analytical skills matter more than any one language; familiarity with Python, C#, or JavaScript is helpful, along with data formats such as JSON
- College degree or equivalent
- Experience in gaming, casino, lottery, slots, or eTab products, with familiarity with game math (preferred)
- Awareness of working in a regulated environment (preferred)
Why Join
- Your work supports community organizations that raise more than $1.5 billion for charity each year
- Broad ownership: you define the metrics, own the data, and build the tools the team relies on
- A clear path to progress to Senior and then Lead as the scope grows
- A small, AI-forward team where you can shape how the work gets done
