We are seeking a proven safety leader to serve as our Corporate Director of Safety. Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer, this role serves as the senior safety leader for the organization and partners closely with executive leadership to strengthen safety performance, operational excellence, workforce development, and enterprise risk management.

Key Responsibilities
Executive Safety Leadership
- Lead the company's enterprise safety strategy across all business units.
- Serve as the primary safety advisor to executive leadership.
- Develop corporate safety policies, standards, and management systems.
- Align safety initiatives with organizational growth and operational objectives.
Operational Safety Excellence
- Partner with Operations, Human Resources, Project Management, and field leadership to improve safety performance.
- Support crane, rigging, steel erection, heavy transport, fabrication, and specialty construction operations.
- Conduct operational audits, field assessments, and executive safety reviews.
- Drive accountability throughout all levels of the organization.
Incident Management & Risk Reduction
- Lead investigations involving serious incidents, near misses, and high-potential events.
- Implement structured root cause analysis and corrective action programs.
- Identify trends and develop strategies to reduce organizational risk.
- Monitor leading and lagging indicators to drive continuous improvement.
Safety Leadership & Workforce Development
- Mentor and develop safety professionals throughout the organization.
- Strengthen leadership engagement and field accountability.
- Partner with Learning & Development to expand workforce safety capabilities.
- Foster a culture built on ownership, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, Construction Management, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Risk Management, or related field
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification
- 10+ years of progressive construction safety leadership experience
- Experience leading safety programs across multiple projects, locations, or business units
- Strong knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards (29 CFR 1926)
- Experience leading incident investigations and root cause analysis programs
- Experience partnering directly with executive and operational leadership teams
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel regularly to project sites and operational locations
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 500 Construction Outreach Trainer
- CSP, CHST, CIH, or equivalent professional certification
- Experience supporting crane operations, rigging, steel erection, industrial construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, EPC, or heavy civil operations
- Experience managing safety teams across multiple locations
- Experience leading enterprise safety culture transformation initiatives
- Experience supporting large general contractors, industrial contractors, or similarly complex organizations
