Teaching Assistant


We are seeking a dedicated and supportive Teaching Assistant to join our educational team. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities

- Support individual and small group student learning to ensure understanding and engagement

- Help maintain a positive, organized, and safe classroom environment

- Supervise students during activities, breaks, and transitions

- Provide additional support to students with special needs or learning challenges

- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies

- Prepare classroom materials and resources as needed

- Monitor student progress and report observations to the lead teacher

Requirements

 

Skills and Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in education is a plus

- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude

- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents

- Basic knowledge of educational techniques and classroom management

- Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality

-Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. 

-Patience, reliability, and a genuine interest in working with children. 

-Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and actively participate in classroom and playground activities. 

-Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) may be required. 

-Successful completion of required background checks.

Work Environment:

Salary Description$15 - $17/hour based on experience
