Outdoor Network is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our corporate Human Resources team in Tampa, FL.

Working alongside an experienced HR team, you'll support every stage of the employee lifecycle—from recruiting and onboarding to employee relations, compliance, organizational development, and strategic HR initiatives. Please Note: We are currently only considering candidates who reside in the Tampa Bay area or are able to commute daily to our Tampa office. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Essential Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted Human Resources resource for employees and managers across multiple business units and locations.
- Provide guidance regarding company policies, employee relations matters, performance management, attendance, corrective action, and workplace concerns.
- Conduct employee investigations while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and appropriate documentation.
- Promote a positive workplace culture through coaching, employee engagement, and consistent application of company policies.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly, salaried, professional, and management-level positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and coordinate the recruiting and interview process.
- Source candidates through recruiting platforms, networking, employee referrals, and other recruiting initiatives.
- Coordinate pre-employment activities, including background checks, drug screenings, employment verification, and onboarding.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and support a positive onboarding experience.
HR Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Process employee status changes, employment documentation, and other HR transactions.
- Support policy updates, audits, HR reporting, and workforce metrics.
- Recommend process improvements that enhance HR efficiency, consistency, and compliance.
Benefits, Leave Administration & Payroll Support
- Assist employees with benefits administration, Open Enrollment, and general Human Resources questions.
- Coordinate leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, and other protected leave programs.
- Partner with payroll to ensure accurate processing of employee changes, compensation updates, and payroll-related information.
- Maintain accurate leave records while supporting payroll and benefits administration.
HR Operations & Organizational Support
- Partner with leadership to support workforce planning, staffing initiatives, and employee development.
- Support performance management, training, employee engagement, and organizational development initiatives.
- Build strong working relationships with employees and managers across multiple business units.
- Participate in Human Resources projects focused on operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Perform additional Human Resources duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience.
- Must be local to Tampa, FL
- Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, leave management, HR compliance, and HR operations.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, and general HR compliance.
- Experience working with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while exercising sound judgment and professionalism.
Preferred
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Experience supporting multiple business locations.
- Experience with Paylocity or a similar HRIS and payroll system.
- Experience within manufacturing, distribution, retail, dealership, marine, powersports, or other multi-site environments.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, video conference, and email.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to travel occasionally between company locations for recruiting, onboarding, meetings, training, or other business needs.
