First Shift Warehouse Associate – Shipping
Description
The First Shift Warehouse Associate – Shipping is responsible for accurately preparing, packaging, and shipping customer orders during the first shift. This role focuses on verifying completed orders, packaging products to company standards, processing shipments, and ensuring customer orders leave the facility accurately and on time. The Warehouse Associate – Shipping works closely with warehouse, inspection, and customer service teams to support efficient order fulfillment and exceptional customer service.
ScheduleMonday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
  • Verify completed customer orders for accuracy, including item numbers, quantities, and product specifications 
  • Package products securely to prevent damage during shipment while meeting company packaging standards 
  • Prepare shipments using shipping software, carriers, and required documentation 
  • Generate and apply shipping labels and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate 
  • Load and stage shipments for carrier pickup while maintaining shipping schedules 
  • Utilize warehouse systems and handheld devices to process and track shipments 
  • Assist with inventory movement, organization, and replenishment within the warehouse as needed 
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety standards throughout shipping and warehouse areas 
  • Collaborate with warehouse, inspection, and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 
Qualifications
  • Ability to perform each essential duty accurately and efficiently 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality 
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel 
  • Experience with warehouse scanning systems, shipping software, or ERP systems preferred 
  • Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) or similar ERP systems preferred 
  • Ability to navigate online resources such as engineering manuals 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal team members 
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and manage time effectively
