Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE: 

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting parts used for Mikron customer projects, including Customer Service parts and customer components. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Perform inspection of fabricated parts to meet project timeline expectations
  • Participate in material disposition discussions 
  • Provide inspection result data to assist with root cause analysis
  • Perform incoming inspection on customer components, in-process inspections on manufacturing parts, and final inspection on assemblies for Clean Assembly
  • Draft standard operating procedures for inspecting fabricated parts and the use of inspection equipment
  • Ensure applicable inspection equipment is within calibration 
  • Perform ad hoc duties as needed

Requirements

  

Employment Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to work in the      United States 
  • Must have a valid state Driver      license

Professional & Technical Education:

  • Associates degree in a technical discipline 

Other Job-Related Experience or Requirements:

  • Ability to read, interpret, and      work from engineering drawings and sketches
  • Working knowledge of inspection equipment and tools
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office tools
  • Familiar with ERP software 
  • Ability to adapt to priority changes 
  • Ability to communicate in an open, clear, precise, and effective manner with customers, peers, and management
  • Must have initiative to learn and demonstrate positive behavior toward teamwork
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
