Description
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Load raw material into hoppers and manage regrind as directed by the Operator.
- Monitor and tend downstream equipment (pullers, laser counters, winders, or hand spooling stations).
- Package finished tubing (spooling, boxing, labeling) according to order requirements.
- Perform visual inspections of product for surface defects, print quality, and packaging integrity.
- Perform dimensional checks (OD/ID/wall) using micrometers and calipers.
- Record production counts, scrap, and basic quality data accurately.
- Keep the work area clean and organized following 5S principles.
- Assist with material movement, empty gaylords, and scrap removal.
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and PPE requirements.
- Communicate issues or quality concerns immediately to the Operator or Supervisor.
- Support changeovers and line clean-ups as needed.
- Grind bad tubing in the regrind area in free time to be recycled back into the lines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions and labels.
- Basic math skills (counting, weighing, simple measurements).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required by production needs.
