Description

Verland is now accepting applications for the Laundry Aide position at the Main Campus is Sewickley.


Shifts available:

Full Time- 40 hours  

10 pm to 6:30 pm Sunday - Thursday 


The Laundry Aide is responsible for ensuring that individuals are adequately supplied with proper clean linen and associated items. This is an hourly, non-exempt position. 


Contributions:

  • Collect all soiled linen from all departments at designated times.
  • Sort linen according to material and status.
  • Wash all linen in appropriate washers.
  • Use soap formulated for specific types of laundering.
  • Use correct washer settings and amounts of soap as recommended by manufacturer.
  • Dry all laundry appropriately, folds and delivers laundry to the proper department.
  • Keep laundry equipment and entire laundry complex clean and free of debris.
  • Report all malfunctions of laundry equipment to supervisor immediately.
  • Perform related duties as requested.
  • May only access the minimum information that is necessary to perform job and will comply with Verland’s privacy practices.

Requirements
  • Must understand and follow simple oral or written instructions. 
  • Must be able to operate equipment in laundry; some ability in math is required. 
  • Must be able to drive the laundry truck. 
  • Formal laundry training experience preferred.
  • Must have all required clearances.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
