The Tank Washer Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily wash bay operations and leading a team of tank wash technicians to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient cleaning of Pneumatic dry bulk trailers. This role provides hands-on supervision, supports training and workflow management, and ensures cleaning procedures meet all regulatory, customer, and company standards. The Tank Washer Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining equipment readiness and promoting a safety-first culture.

Summary of Essential Job Functions
Team Supervision & Workflow Coordination
- Supervise daily tank wash activities, ensuring proper cleaning processes are followed and production goals are met.
- Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and support technicians in troubleshooting wash procedures and equipment use.
- Train new and existing team members on safety procedures and wash protocols.
- Track and report disciplinary actions.
Cleaning & Inspection
- Perform and oversee cleaning of internal and external tanker surfaces
- Inspect trailers post-wash to ensure cleanliness, odor control, and compliance with customer specifications.
- Ensure proper cleaning documentation is completed for every wash performed.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce all OSHA, EPA, DOT, and internal safety policies, including PPE usage. chemical handling, and confined space practices.
- Ensure that wash operations remain compliant with environmental and safety regulations.
- Participate in regular safety audits and team safety meetings.
Facility & Equipment Oversight
- Monitor wash bay equipment performance and report malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Assist with inventory management of wash chemicals and supplies.
Administrative & Communication Duties
- Track and report wash activity, trailer readiness, and team performance.
- Communicate with operations and dispatch to prioritize trailer turnarounds.
- Support Terminal manager with schedules, reporting, and process improvements
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of tank wash or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of tanker cleaning processes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to train, lead, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with confined space safety, chemical usage, and PPE requirements.
- Must possess a valid state-issued identification and driver’s license; ability to wear required PPE
- Bilingual Spanish speaking
- Ability to travel occasionally
