Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about keeping operations running smoothly? As our Inventory & Logistics Clerk, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of our inventory and the seamless flow of materials into our Sorrento Valley Warehouse. From receiving shipments and maintaining inventory integrity to supporting warehouse operations, you'll help keep our supply chain moving efficiently. Receiving & Logistics

  • Receive and process parcel, LTL, and air freight shipments; verify materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs).
  • Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, and quantity discrepancies; document and coordinate resolution with Purchasing, Planning, suppliers, and carriers.
  • Accurately sort, label, and route received materials to the appropriate storage location or department, and maintain related receiving documentation, including Bills of Lading and packing slips.

Inventory Control & Accuracy

  • Perform scheduled cycle counts and support periodic physical inventories and warehouse audits in accordance with the established ABC inventory program.
  • Maintain record-to-physical inventory accuracy and promptly update the ERP/WMS, spreadsheets, and barcode records for receipts, count results, item locations, and approved adjustments.
  • Verify serial numbers and condition of high-value equipment, including Launch Monitors, Projectors, and Computers, and immediately escalate missing units, mismatches, or damage.
  • Investigate inventory variances and receiving discrepancies, determine root causes, document findings, and prepare supporting information for review and reconciliation.
  • Identify obsolete, damaged, expired, discontinued, or otherwise unusable inventory for proper documentation and disposition.

Warehouse Operations & Replenishment

  • Monitor stock levels and reorder thresholds; alert management to potential shortages or excess inventory and assist with replenishment and vendor-order follow-up.
  • Conduct location audits to confirm bin accuracy and proper storage, and maintain clean, organized, and safe receiving and inventory areas.
  • Communicate inventory status, shipment issues, count results, and reordering needs to warehouse staff, Purchasing, Planning, Fulfillment, Finance, management, suppliers, and carriers.
  • Support cross-training and provide coverage during absences and peak operating periods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

What You'll Bring:


Education, Experience & Skills

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • One to three years of experience in warehouse operations, receiving, logistics, or inventory control.
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Baan preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with barcode scanners, receiving workflows, packing-slip auditing, cycle-counting methods, and serialized or high-value inventory.
  • Strong attention to detail, numerical aptitude, data-entry accuracy, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and exercise sound judgment.

Bonus Points If You Have:


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with freight and parcel carrier processes, including LTL and air freight receiving.
  • Knowledge of ABC inventory classification and prior experience supporting financial, quality, or customer audits.

Salary Description
