What we are looking for:

We are looking for a Vice President, Sales & Marketing to lead our sales and marketing organization, reporting to the COO. This is not a role to run the marketing and sales we already do. Twin Valley has entered its next chapter, defined by intensifying competition, grant-funded expansion, and AI-driven disruption, and this leader's mandate is to accelerate our growth well beyond what a traditional, headcount-driven model would allow.

Traditional sales and marketing excellence is the floor, not the finish line. What sets the right candidate apart is an entrepreneurial builder's mindset: someone who spots opportunity, moves quickly, and applies exponential-growth systems such as Exponential Organizations (ExO) to compete and scale, while pairing modern, data-driven growth techniques with the hometown service and community commitment that set us apart.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Leadership, Management, Accountability
  • Brand Management
  • Growth & Marketing Strategy
  • Community Partnerships
  • Revenue Expansion
  • Data Analytics
  • Pricing & Packaging
  • Market Development

What you bring to the position:

  • A proven ability to lead sales and marketing teams that deliver measurable subscriber, revenue, and growth results.
  • A builder's mindset with a track record of exponential-growth methods (data, experimentation, community, and on-demand resources) to grow beyond traditional, headcount-driven models.
  • Strong data fluency and hands-on confidence with AI and modern growth tools, including the ability to help a team adopt new ways of working.
  • A collaborative, community-minded style that balances ambitious growth with Twin Valley's commitment to hometown service, honest value, and local presence.

You successfully fulfill the following essential duties and responsibilities:

You provide STRATEGIC OVERSITE:

  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategy that drives subscriber growth, revenue expansion, retention, and market penetration.
  • Translate company goals into measurable plans and monitor market trends, competitive activity, customer behavior, and performance data to guide decisions.
  • Apply exponential-growth principles (e.g. experimentation, data, community, leveraged assets, and staff on demand) and a culture of rapid, low-cost experimentation to scale impact beyond what traditional models allow.
  • Design and execute pre-sale and launch campaigns for new fiber and Air Fiber (FWA) markets, including grant-funded (BEAD, Kansas BAG) areas, and identify cross-sell and bundling opportunities across residential, business, and affiliated technology-services lines.
  • Recommend where to expand the footprint and deploy capital using market research, modeling, and analytics, and refine target verticals, geographies, and value proposition with the Leadership Team.

You utilize your ADMINISTRATIVE SKILLS:

  • Establish disciplined systems, reporting, and follow-through, and prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and department plans that support informed leadership decisions.
  • Own the annual marketing plan and budget, and develop metrics and reports that demonstrate contribution and return on marketing investment (ROMI).

You use your PEOPLE MANAGEMENT SKILLS to inspire and coach your team:

  • Communicate the company's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values, and integrate them into your team's plans and execution.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop your team through cross-training, delegation, feedback, and mentoring, building a culture of ownership, collaboration, and measurable results.

You utilize your SALES ACUMEN to drive sales by:

  • Own residential and small/medium-business sales and marketing, attaining the subscriber, revenue, and gross-profit metrics required to meet annual goals (LMA: shape, direct, staff, and develop the sales team).
  • Deliver a consistent, repeatable sales process and accountability rhythm, including pipeline reviews, forecast discipline, quotas, and one-on-ones, so performance is predictable and less dependent on individual style.
  • Strengthen enablement (playbooks, objection handling, competitive positioning, onboarding) and develop long-term relationships with major customers.

You own PRICING AND PACKAGING STRATEGY:

  • Own pricing and packaging for residential and business products, balancing competitiveness, take rate, and margin.
  • Develop promotional and discount structures that drive acquisition without eroding long-term ARPU, and lead the company's response to competitive pricing using data to model impact.

You use your COLLABORATIVE SKILLS:

  • Partner across departments (operations, customer service, construction, leadership) to align market launches, campaigns, and service promises around shared growth goals.
  • Lead community outreach and local-partnership initiatives that amplify Twin Valley's presence and Pledge commitments, and represent the company in industry organizations such as NTCA.
  • Support the company by completing other duties as assigned.

You use your TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Own the data that drives growth: define and instrument the funnel and reporting for conversion, take rate, churn, CAC, and LTV, and lead analytically minded teams that acquire customers while optimizing spend.
  • Champion AI and modern tools across sales and marketing, integrating AI into CRM and marketing-automation workflows for content, lead scoring, personalization, forecasting, and productivity.
  • Lead execution across all digital channels (ecommerce, social, SEO, marketing automation) and stay current on emerging tools and broadband market trends.

You use your CUSTOMER SERVICE & BRAND SKILLS:

  • Ensure sales and marketing reinforce Twin Valley's commitment to reliable service, honest value, and community and hometown support.
  • Direct campaign development end to end (creative, messaging, media, channel mix) and manage agency and vendor partners to performance and brand standards.
  • Lead customer-lifecycle marketing (acquisition, onboarding, retention, winback, referral) and keep brand and visual identity consistent at every touchpoint.

You use your LEADERSHIP SKILLS:

  • Model accountability, adaptability, and professionalism, challenging old ways of working in pursuit of better results.
  • Inspire teams to embrace new tools, new thinking, and higher expectations while staying connected to Twin Valley's values and community commitment.

As a successful employee, you will demonstrate the following professional skills as you carry out your position:

  • Communication & Presentation – Speak and write clearly and persuasively; present numerical and statistical data effectively; deliver presentations to audiences of 20-150.
  • Leadership & Ethics – Lead and get results through others; treat people with respect; keep commitments; work with integrity and uphold company values.
  • Strategic Thinking & Judgment – Develop strategies to achieve goals; analyze market and competition; adapt to changing conditions; include the right people in decisions.
  • Planning & Organization – Manage multiple priorities, use time efficiently, set goals, plan resources, and meet deadlines.
  • Professionalism & Adaptability – React well under pressure; accept responsibility; manage competing demands and frequent change.
  • Customer Focus & Detail – Respond promptly and courteously; manage difficult situations; perform tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements

You will meet the following educational, licensing, certification and work experience requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s or MBA a plus.
  • 10–15+ years’ experience leading sales and marketing in a subscription, service, or high-growth industry, with strong P&L management. Broadband, telecom, or networking experience is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is a plus. We run on EOS and value a leader who can step into that rhythm quickly.
  • Strong sales-management and leadership experience. You have successfully built, managed, trained, mentored, and supported a sales team.
  • A strong strategic sales focus and a demonstrated track record of sales results and sales leadership.
  • The ability to quickly develop a deep understanding of broadband markets and how to penetrate them, including the dynamics of rural and small-market fiber expansion, grant-funded buildouts, and competing against national providers on service and value. Existing broadband market knowledge is an advantage.
  • A capacity to learn the competitive landscape for SMB and residential broadband and our carrier and wholesale fiber products. Familiarity with these markets a plus but not required.
  • Sales-process development and management experience, including pipeline management and CRM tools; solution-selling skills with a strong emphasis on prospecting and closing.
  • An understanding that markets evolve and services must change over time to meet market needs.
  • Experience in office productivity software (email, calendar, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, etc.).
  • Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license; driving record must meet the criteria of the company’s insurance carrier for acceptance of coverage.

You will follow Twin Valley’s Core Values:

  • Humor & Fun - We enjoy spending time with each other, collaborating and sharing what makes us unique.
  • Lead by Example - Always taking initiative, acting responsibly and demanding excellence from ourselves.
  • Resilience - Change is inevitable. We embrace it. And we use it to drive creativity and innovation.
  • “Team First” Initiative - Proactively helping one another, taking individual accountability for the success of the whole team.
  • Continuous Improvement – Daily improvement matters. Bold ideas move us forward.

You are able to work in the following environmental and working conditions:
