POSITION SUMMARY: The Inside Sales Representative acts as the vital link between our customers, the external sales team, and our internal organization. This role is pivotal to our operations, requiring strict adherence to SAP processes while also being proactive in addressing customer support needs. Responsibilities include daily quotation support, order entry, technical assistance, and navigating intercompany process flows. The primary goal of this position is to deliver unparalleled customer service.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage life cycle of quotation process from beginning to end.
  • Manage communication flow between local office and external sales team.
  • Responsible for consultations with customers to proactively offer solutions and answer technical questions.
  • Track production process on technical sales orders.
  • Work closely with clients to resolve conflicts and design changes before they become significant delays.
  • Review drawings to check for compliance with the submitted specifications.
  • Verify certification being requested by customer to determine if product meets area classification.
  • Check inventory to determine if the required components are in stock to meet the promised delivery dates.
  • Achieves and maintains rapport with clients and provides internal support during and after product shipment.
  • Works closely with Technical Support to[OJ1]  provide customers with support and solutions on electrical equipment & intrinsically safe products.
  • Uses SAP to enter quotes, retrieve customer information, stock status information, the status of purchase orders and any other pertinent information the customer may require.
  • Enter RMA’s for products to be returned by the customers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    



Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience inside sales, order management, or related sales support role, preferably within the electrical or industrial products industry.  
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to multitask in a face paced, high pressured environment and still meet deadline.
  • Must feel comfortable working in dynamic, team-based environment where priorities are continually changing.
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in NEC and IEC hazardous requirements a plus.
  • Skilled in reading design specifications and technical drawings a plus.
  • Experience with SAP & CRM required.  
  • Proficiency in office management software (MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge of Sales Force.
