Job Summary: 

 

As a Senior Casualty Claims Representative, you will be an integral part of a dynamic Claims organization which aims to provide a spectacular Claims experience and help our customers. Senior Casualty Claims Representative responsibilities include handling low to complex motorcycle claims, total loss claims and auto property damage claims. In addition, this role also handles homeowner general liability claims, low to mid complexity first party homeowner’s claims, and low to complex bodily injury claims. Third-party litigation handling is also included. This position is dynamic, requiring flexibility, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to provide multi-faceted assistance to our insureds and claimants. This position will require you to hold a Florida Adjuster’s License or similar license which includes the State of Connecticut.   


 Candidates must be able to work Pacific Time business hours.


Duties and Responsibilities :


· Investigate & Resolve Claims (90%): 

· Utilizing your understanding of and expertise in concepts of coverage, policy interpretation, exposure recognition, damage analysis and liability determination to analyze and move claims towards resolution using best practices 

· Understanding and correct application of different laws and requirements for claims handling in multiple states 

· Ability to analyze variables, such as medical records, bill and legal documentation 

· Proven negotiation and settlement skills 

· Investigate all aspects of claims  

· Create/adjust case Reserves according to Company Policy 

· Pay and process claims within designated Authority level 

· Manages pending Inventory of open claims 

· Primary point of contact for Policyholders throughout claims process.  

· Maintain organization and documentation of claims files (hardcopy and electronic)  

· Heavy phone communication with Customers 

· Interaction with Vendors, experts, and other carriers 

· Detailed analysis of records, photos, damage reports and policies 

· Completing written correspondence to individuals and businesses daily  

· Litigation File/Management on occasion. (5%)

· Attend meetings and help with work environment initiatives (5%)

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate will have the following: 

  

· College Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred. 

· Bilingual, especially Spanish is helpful, but not required.

· 7+ years’ experience handling California auto liability claims

· Friendly, positive, and professional demeanor.

· Proficient written and verbal communication skills

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with limited management oversight.

· Highly skilled planning and organization skills required.

· Prior moderate complexity bodily injury and property damage insurance claims experience required.

· Prior customer service work experience required.

· Strong investigative and analytical skills. 

· Excellent organization and time management skills. 

· Ability to make timely and accurate decisions.

· Strong negotiation skills.

· Strong policy interpretation skills
