Material Handler II

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Material Handler to load, unload, and move materials within or near production facility or warehouse. Will be primarily response for maintaining adequate supply of materials at all running machines. This includes raw materials (resin), packaging, inserts, bags, labels, etc., as called out on the job “Pick List”. The correct paperwork associated with any movement of these materials is the responsibility of the Material Handler. Lot number control is an essential part of material tracking (especially regrind) and this falls under the Material Handler responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cleaning and loading all hoppers as required at set up.
  • Ensuring excellent housekeeping to avoid contamination of materials.
  • Move finished goods to the warehouse or to a location designated by the warehouse and fill out accurately any paperwork required.
  • Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management.
Requirements

  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous materials handling experience.
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Good problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma or GED

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel,      crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75      pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Salary Description
$17.00-$22.00 per hour
