Job Summary
Works with the Head Cook in preparation and distribution of Food for the Child feeding program, including diets for children with allergies and separate lunches in accordance with C.A.C.F.P guidelines and state and Federal regulations. And meal documentation for outside sites
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works with the Head Cook in preparation of food for other activities.
- Assisting in receiving deliveries and storage along with the proper rotation of food and dairy supplies, and appropriate storage of all foods to ensure safe, quality foods.
- Assists in maintaining orderliness and cleanliness of kitchen along with equipment, floors, supplies and work areas according with local, state and federal sanitation code.
- Assists the kitchen aids in the delivery of all meals and cleanup of dishes and silverware
- Attend all training sessions as required.
- Communicates appropriately and effectively with all staff to coordinate daily menus
- Upholds the principles and policies of the nutrition and Head Start performance standards.
Other Requirements
- Must pass a criminal background check and other required clearances
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required
- Must be able to lift 30-50lbs.
Schedule
Monday-Friday
Hourly Rate: $19-$21
Education & Experience
- Minimum of three Years of professional experience in healthcare, schools, institutional feeding or restaurant setting
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid food handling certification required
