Description

The Ballistics Sales Manager develops new markets and sales opportunities for NK's established and trusted Kestrel Ballistics product line. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this role serves as the subject matter expert for Kestrel Ballistics, bringing a genuine passion for long-range shooting and precision ballistics to every customer interaction, trade show, and product conversation. The ideal candidate combines hands-on knowledge of the sport with strong business development instincts to build lasting relationships with customers, partners, and dealers, and to grow NK's presence in new and existing markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth through business development, prospecting, and relationship management with new and existing customers and partners.
  • Manage the independent sales rep group, providing direction, product training, and performance oversight to support regional sales goals.
  • Produce sales reports and presentations with actionable analysis of trends, dealer and customer performance, and market opportunities.
  • Manage sales opportunities and pipeline through the company CRM. 
  • Take ownership for creating, updating, and distributing price lists and changes.
  • Participate in sales meetings, trade shows, conferences, and events to develop new business. 
  • Listen and learn from Kestrel customers. Observe relevant competing products, services, and industry activity. Bring field understanding back to the product management and marketing teams to enhance product offerings or messaging.
  • Develop and manage the sales and promotional calendar to drive revenue growth and maximize market opportunities.
  • Lead the RFP process, including product pricing strategy and documentation review, for bid submissions.
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience. 
  • 5+ years of experience in a business development or sales role, preferably related to ballistics sales.
  • Experienced shooter with hands-on knowledge of firearms, ballistics, and the long-range shooting industry.
  • Experience with selling to multi-layer distribution channels.
  • Proficient in all forms of business communication including written, verbal and in-person.
  • Strong computer skills – internet research, email management, task management, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using a CRM, including Salesforce.
  • Experience using AI tools, including Claude.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.


Work Environment and Physical Demands

Climate-controlled indoor manufacturing plant offices. May be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, climb or balance. Must be able to lift and/or drag up to 40 pounds (luggage). Multiple dogs in office.


Hours of Work & Travel

Hybrid work environment that consists of remote work and regular need to be in the office (minimum 1-2x per week). NK's facilities are located in Boothwyn, PA. Travel is required for trade shows, customer meetings and other events.


Pay Rate

This is a salaried position. Pay rate commensurate with qualifications and experience as well as company size. Annual bonus based on company and individual performance ranges averages 2% to 4% of compensation.


Training 

Most training is on-the-job but formal education and training may be provided where appropriate.
