Program/Membership Assistant – (Part-time)

Job Description:

Position Summary: 

This position is designed to help carry out the duties of Mission Delivery and their responsibilities. With creativity and innovation, you will work collaboratively to make sure members and girls are motivated, prepared, and excited to participate in the Girl Scout Program. The ideal candidate will enjoy building relationships with volunteers and collaborating with other departments, who are invested in supporting the next generation of female entrepreneurs.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

•  Provide overall assistance to the staff members during events, rallies and/or recruitment 
•  Lead specific activities or program areas as assigned by the supervising staff member
•  On some occasions, may be asked to wear costumes to get the girls excited
•  Must be energetic and show excitement 
•  Goal is to get girls and adults to sign up, have fun and help with snacks when provided
•  Participates and attends community events and training courses, as necessary
•  Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION 

•  High School Graduate

 • Willingness to maintain standards, carry out the mission and adhere to the policies of GSUSA and Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi. 

•  Ability to model behavior consistent with the Principles of Inclusiveness and Girl Scout Mission, Promise, Law, and Values. 
•  Ability to provide outstanding customer service to girls and volunteers. 
•  Excellent oral and written communication skills and highly motivated and works well both independently and in a team environment.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Strong planning and organizational skills. 
•  May need a special certification like Lifeguarding, etc.
•  May include administrative assistance with registrations and forms as directed by staff
•  Must keep up with your time and is paid semi-monthly electronically
•  Desire to improve and develop professionally.
•  Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

 Walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching and moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds). 

 Must be able to sit at a workstation and/or a computer screen for up to 2 hours at a time. 

 Occasional exposure to seasonal weather conditions.
