JOB TITLE: Barista

Salary Range: $11.00-$14.00
ALL FULL-TIME POSITIONS: In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family.
FUNCTIONS STATEMENT:
· The Barista will be responsible for all brewing practices, day to day production of coffee, inventory management, cleaning & maintenance of espresso machine and all associated equipment and supplies, and all record-keeping. The Barista is expected to work autonomously as well as with the rest of the Food Court staff.
MAJOR DUTIES:
· Lead and act in a manner that is consistent with our mission, vision, and values.
· Welcome customers by determining their coffee needs.
· Educating customers on our menu, specials, and on-going promotions that we offer.
· Maintaining and tracking inventory of the products in the coffee shop
· Replenishing products as they are out.
· Ensure that all beer is produced according to defined quality standards and specifications.
· Prepare beverages following recipes.
· Receive and process payments.
· Meet production goals and standards while managing manufacturing costs.
· Troubleshoot tools and machines when needed.
· Ensure safe brewery operation including enforcement of safety rules.
· Abide by all food safety, safety, and GMP rules & regulations.
· Perform other job duties as assigned.
FACTOR 1: KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION
- Knowledge of Public Health prescribed methods of handwashing techniques. Knowledge of courteous, appropriate, and inappropriate greeting techniques.
- Knowledge of what constitutes “undue familiarity” with guests and customers. Knowledge of infection control factors.
- Ability to read, write and interpret simple instructions.
- Knowledge of how to operate all brewery equipment.
- Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling alcohol.

· Ensure coffees and teas are brewed according to each recipe for consistency.
· Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment to ensure a food-safe environment.
· Provide support for fellow Team Members.

· Ensure inventory is put away and organized properly.
· Ensure coffee is brewed properly.
· Ensure daily quality tasks are complete.
· Ensure daily production tasks are complete.
· Ensure brewery is always clean, neat, and orderly to present a “Tour Ready” image to the guests.

- Able to lift fifty (50) pounds from floor to overhead throughout a shift.
· Able to work in wet and dusty environments.
· Ability to work in confined spaces when required.
· Must be able to work any shift including weekends when called upon.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have good verbal and writing skills, and basic math.
- Ability to work any shift, start time, weekends, and holidays.
PREFERED Qualifications
· 1-2 years coffee shop experience.
- Food prep or other food manufacturing experience Six months experience working in Beverage Industry.
