About you and the role:
As a PRN EX-ED Instructor, you will be a highly motivated and experienced Emergency Care Provider (ECP) with five (5) years of teaching experience in the field. You should be currently licensed as a Nurse, Paramedic, EMT, or Respiratory Therapist, and be able to articulate expectations to students while taking direction from senior instructors.
Work Schedule:
Part Time/as needed hours, with potential to be assigned course instruction within and outside typical business hours.
Compensation:
$30-$35/hour depending on experience
$30-$40/hour with Critical Care Endorsement
What you will do:
- Set up and clean up the lab and skill stations for courses as required.
- Prepare prior to arrival at work to have the most accurate information
- Follow lesson plans
- Assist with and present Education lesson plans for various courses
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience
- Ability to obtain Level 1 and 2 Instructor Academy within first 12 months of employment
ALS Instructor: Basic Qualifications
- National Registry, Paramedic
- State/Compact Paramedic License
- BLS - AHA
- ACLS - AHA
- PALS - AHA
- PHTLS
Preferred Qualifications (in addition to Basic Qualifications)
- State/Compact Paramedic License with Critical Care Endorsement
- ASLS
- 5 years of related experience
- Teaching experience at the Collegiate and Adult/Continuing Education levels.
- Graduate of Best Practice Medicine (BPM) program
Physical Requirements:
- This position will require sitting for long periods of time, walking, standing, and bending, as well as using fine motor skills, such as finger dexterity for typing.
- Must be able to carry and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to speak clearly in small group settings.
