Wright-Hennepin Holding Company (WH Holding), serves as the cooperative's umbrella for its for-profit businesses.  The Security Operations Director serves as the senior operational leader for WH Security and WH International Response Center (WHIRC) businesses. Reporting to the Vice President of Business Services, this position is responsible for the operational performance, leadership development, customer experience, compliance, and financial execution of both businesses. 


The Director provides leadership for WH Security operations, WHIRC operations and sales while ensuring organizational readiness during periods of growth, acquisition integration, and leadership transition. The role translates executive strategy into operational execution and develops the capacity necessary to support long-term growth and operational excellence.


Compensation

$110,000 – $155,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications) plus annual bonus potential

 What You’ll Do

30% Business Management and Planning

  • Lead operational execution of strategic initiatives across WH Security and WHIRC.
  • Develop and implement operating plans and WHIRC growth initiatives aligned with approved business objectives.
  • Establish performance standards to ensure the achievement of strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to long-range business planning and execute initiatives supporting approved strategic plans.
  • Support organizational growth objectives through operational readiness, execution, and development of WHIRC dealer relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies including Department of Labor and Industry (DOLI), Underwriters Laboratories (UL), etc.
  • Provide operational analysis and recommendations regarding business performance, operational capacity, and service delivery improvements.
  • Provide operational leadership during periods of organizational transition, business integration, rapid growth, and significant change initiatives.

25% Team Leadership

  • Provide managerial oversight and leadership within the organization, ensuring alignment with the company's business plan and overarching strategic vision.
  • Collaborate with team members to cultivate industry-leading organizations.
  • Direct, supervise and coordinate the activities of the WH Security and WHIRC teams.
  • Monitor team performance and offer recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Drive the recruitment, retention, and development of top-tier talent within the organization.
  • Inspire and motivate employees across all levels of the company, including managers, supervisors, staff, and frontline personnel.
  • Cultivate a growth-oriented, positive work environment while upholding adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ensure alignment of operational priorities, resources, communication, and customer experience across WH Security and WHIRC.
  • Develop managers and supervisors to create organizational depth, succession readiness, and leadership continuity.

15% Financial Management

  • Provide financial analysis and operational recommendations to support business performance objectives.
  • Define, establish, and meticulously pursue financial performance targets in conjunction with the VP that are in line with the strategic direction and mandates of the organization, fostering sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Regularly compile and deliver detailed financial metric reports to the VP, offering clear insights into the company's financial health, performance trends, and areas for improvement.

10% WHIRC Growth

  • Streamline information flow, reporting, and planning processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in our business development efforts.
  • Develop and execute WHIRC dealer recruitment, dealer retention, and partner growth initiatives.
  • Establish and monitor sales targets for WHIRC, tracking progress to ensure alignment with our growth objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to bolster customer retention and loyalty.
  • Cultivate and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by actively soliciting and incorporating feedback, ensuring that our services consistently meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Prioritize the comprehensive training of personnel, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their roles and contribute to the ongoing success of our businesses.

10% Industry

  • Cultivate strategic relationships within the industry and community that build WH brands and reputation.
  • Expand knowledge, report, and recommend technology that reflects new developments and market dynamics. 
  • Actively participate in the leadership industry groups such as Minnesota Electronic Security and Technology Association (MNESTA), Electronic Security Expo (ESX), and The Monitoring Association (TMA).
  • Serve as a key representative of the business to strengthen its position in the market.

10% Customer Satisfaction Monitoring

  • Monitor customer satisfaction through review of surveys and data. 
  • Identify, analyze, develop, and implement plans to drive the highest customer satisfaction. 
Requirements

Education and Experience

  • 10+ years of operations experience
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a technology-related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a supervisory/managerial capacity 

Licenses/Certificates

  • Current PLT license, or ability to achieve PLT, and valid driver’s license required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Financial Analysis: Ability to analyze financial statements, assess financial performance, and make data-driven decisions

Salary Description
