Description

The Fabrication Coordinator supports fabrication and subassembly production by coordinating work orders, production schedules, material requirements, and ERP information. This position works across Engineering, Fabrication, and supporting departments to maintain production flow and help ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Coordinate and balance subassembly work orders with project production requirements.
  • Schedule and prioritize subassembly work based on production needs.
  • Monitor material and bill of material requirements associated with subassembly production.
  • Coordinate material or BOM discrepancies with the appropriate departments.
  • Maintain standard labor, material, and cost information for subassemblies.
  • Work directly with Engineering Coordinators, Production Supervisors, Engineering, and other production-support functions.
  • Support the maintenance and progression of production routings.
  • Monitor multiple active work orders and adjust priorities as production requirements change.
  • Maintain accurate ERP and production information related to assigned work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:  

  • Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending, or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
  • Climbing in and out of vehicles
  • Requires lifting up to 45 pounds frequently
  • Requires eye hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment  
  • Normal range of hearing and vision

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant manufacturing or production experience.
  • Experience using ERP, inventory management, or production management software.
  • Experience with office software tools (G-Suite / Microsoft)
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, bills of material, routings, and production documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple active production requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively across multiple departments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Preferred Experience:

  • NetSuite experience.
  • Fabrication or specialty-vehicle manufacturing experience.
  • Experience maintaining standard labor, material, or production cost information.

JOB DETAILS: 

  • Type: Hourly
  • Shift: 1st Shift,  Monday - Friday 
  • Compensation Range: $22.00 - $24.00
  • Bonus Eligibility: No
  • Reports To: Engineering Supervisor
