Our lead drug candidate, saroglitazar, is a dual peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) alpha / gamma agonist. Saroglitazar is an investigational treatment which has received Fast Track designation, orphan drug designation and priority review designation from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of patients with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC). Primary Biliary Cholangitis is a rare, chronic autoimmune liver disease primarily affecting middle-aged women, characterized by the progressive destruction of the bile ducts that can lead to irreversible liver damage if left untreated.

ROLE SUMMARY

Zydus Therapeutics is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and deeply empathetic Director, Professional Marketing to drive the development and execution of all professional marketing initiatives that support all aspects of personal promotion for our lead drug candidate, saroglitazar. 


The Director, Professional Marketing will serve as the dedicated champion for all personal promotion programs, translating overarching brand strategy into impactful promotional materials and launch readiness plans. 

This position reports to the Senior Director, Professional Marketing.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Development of Promotional Resouces for HCPs 

· HCP Campaign Support: Advance the development of key promotional materials for the field sales team to support the launch of saroglitazar. 

· Training Support: Assist with the preparation and execution of field training initiatives that support successful training of all promotional materials

Development of Speaker Bureau and Peer to Peer Education Initiatives 

· Speaker Bureau: Partner closely with the Thought Leader Liaison team to identify National, Regional and Local Opinion Leaders to join the speaker bureau. Lead speaker training, partnering with Medical team to deliver training. 

· Peer to Peer Programs: Partner closely with field leadership and logistics agency to execute peer to peer programs in accordance with all legal and compliance guidance. s

Cross-Functional Leadership

· Omnichannel Integration: Partner with Omnichannel team to ensure consistency of assets with brand campaign and messaging. 

· Access and Patient Marketing Integration: Partner with Access Marketing team and Patient Marketing team to incorporate reimbursement and patient support messaging in key HCP promotional materials. 

· Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner closely with Field Sales, TLLs, Market Access, Business Insights & Operations, Medical, and Patient Services across the patient ecosystem

· Materials Review: Navigate materials smoothly through the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review process, ensuring all HCP-facing tactics strictly adhere to FDA regulations

Requirements

  

· Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree (MBA) preferred

· A minimum of 7–10 years of commercial pharmaceutical experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to HCP marketing

· Rare disease, specialty hepatology/gastroenterology launch experience is highly preferred

· Field Sales and Training experience is highly preferred. 

· Comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced, pre-launch environment; a self-starter who excels at taking initiative within an established strategic framework

· Collaborative and action-oriented, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority

· Robust analytical skills to conduct both qualitative and quantitative assessments

· Highly developed verbal and written communication skills

· A genuine passion for improving the quality of life for those patients facing rare liver diseases


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

The position will require domestic travel (up to 25%)

Salary Description
$225,000 - $240,000
