What You'll Own
- Manage journal entries, general ledger accuracy, and account reconciliations with precision
- Reconcile and post bank statements, monthly finance reserves, and GS statements
- Prepare for and respond to internal and external audit requests
- Process product cancellation refunds for customers and lienholders
- Accurately process lease buy-backs and dealer trades
- Review multiple dealership schedules monthly and make necessary corrections
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Cross-train in Accounts Receivable and Billing to provide backup coverage as needed
- Ensure accurate financial processing, timely reporting, and compliance with internal policies
- Take on additional responsibilities assigned by leadership as the role evolves
What You Bring to the Table
- 3–5 years of automotive dealership accounting experience preferred — this is a must!
- Proven track record of successful accounting management in an automotive setting with references
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Reynolds & Reynolds experience strongly preferred
- Sharp analytical skills with an eagle eye for detail and financial accuracy
- Excellent communication and organizational skills — you keep everyone on the same page
- A self-starter mentality — you don't wait to be told twice
- Ability to juggle multiple deadlines without breaking a sweat
- Integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
- Professional, dependable, and collaborative across all departments
